My dad had an inpromptu few days in the UK seeing old friends and was able to whiz up the M5 from Bristol for a couple of hours this morning for tea, cake and a quick (freezing cold) walk to the marina to feed the ducks (no ducks around so we came home and put the heating on). Unfortunately he had to leave to catch the ferry before lunch was ready so we enjoyed home-baked ham n beans after he'd driven off.
